Congrats! We love your Instagram! We are heading out full time in June 2017. Are you two working on the road as well? We did a six week trial trip this summer and we moved waaaay to fast. So we are trying to slow it down as we plan the first six months. How did you decide on this? Did you pick your campgrounds already? Thanks for sharing!!
Congratulations on getting out there. You’ll have a blast. Slow and steady. The national parks and campgrounds aren’t going anywhere 🙂
We both work, me as an app developer and Mandy as a wedding photographer. We actually just posted a video about how we plan our traveling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gV9IQ9GBNU Basically, RoadTrippers.com and Campendium.com. We pick the campgrounds much closer to when we actually get there and stay on as much public land as possible.
Hi Mandy and Kevin, Mandy’s Grandma Bonnie shared your information/site with me. My husband and I are so excited to begin our adventures on the road as soon as our house sells (fingers crossed). Thanks to all of the information within your site, I am feeling more at ease with hitting the road. I can’t wait to read more posts so please keep them coming. ( Bonnie is one of my favorite people in our running group, she is awesome! )
Safe Travels! ~ Michelle
Aw. Thank you for the comment, Michelle. I’m so excited to see you and your husband out on the road. You’ll have a great time. We’re doing our best to share what we’ve learned so far.
Good luck selling your house, even though Grand Rapids is so cool! Grand Rapids is one of my favorite places to visit.

Hi Michelle! Grandma Bonnie has told me about your story! So excited to see you are going for it! Grandma is one of my favorite people ever, so I get it. 🙂
Do u guys do record deals with people
We just make our videos for fun. No one has paid us to make videos…yet
Head further south to Port Aransas when you swing though Texas! We have a house there and send most of our friends there. Great beach, fun stuff to do around there… Let me know if you need any advice when you are in Austin. We live right downtown and my wife is a native. Try to reserve urself a spot at one of the remaining Barton Springs Road RV parks.
Thanks for the recommendations, Matt! We’ll see if we can get into Pecan Grove RV Park. That’s been high on our list and we love that neighborhood.
Yay! I can’t wait to meet up with you and get the updates in April 🙂 Realllllly good call on staying in Big Sur for a month-it’s my favorite place in the entire state!
We absolutely can’t wait to be there. We love southern California and the beaches, but we’re excited to see new things up north. Just twiddling our thumbs until the weather is warm enough to move North
I’m curious, how does Mandy do wedding photographyou when your always moving around?
Hi Amy!
I fly to my weddings. Lots of them are destination weddings as it is, so it is a very easy transition. 🙂 But I am also working on making money via my jewelry company. It is better to have lots of $$ making outlets. xoxo Mandy
Have you all ever considered visiting Arkansas? It’s absolutely beautiful here and we have lots of thrift shops for Mandy. 😉
