The instant I saw the pics online of this camper I got excited. It had the exact layout we were hoping for. My brain started running off with so many ideas! Color schemes, google searching rv renovation ideas, storage hacks, the works. I was DYING to get started. When we towed it home I expected us to finish our demo the first day, boy was I wrong. The demo was the hardest part for me because we were taking a fairly decent looking camper and destroying it. I kept wondering if it would look as good as I was hoping? Didn’t help it took two WHOLE days to clean out, and three days before we started painting… haha I am not the most patient person, when I am excited for a project I give it my all. But let me slow down and I will show you some before pictures shall I?
Now let’s chat about the projects we wanted to do:
- painting all walls, cabinets, and fridge white.
- paint cabinet hardware oil rubbed bronze
- paint couch
- dye booth cushions
- build daybed
- take off all window fixtures, baylences, blinds, and curtains
- get new curtains, and new rods
- kitchen backsplash
- new flooring
- new light fixtures
- concrete countertops to all countertops
- new sinks and faucets
- new shower
- remove un-necessary lights
We quickly realized that with our budget of $1,500, not all of these projects would be a good idea right away. We prioritized and settled for this list:
- painting all walls, cabinets, and fridge white.
- paint cabinet hardware oil rubbed bronze
- buy a couch (will talk about why later)
- take off all window fixtures, baylences, blinds, and curtains
- get new curtains, and new rods
- kitchen backsplash
- new flooring
- concrete countertops to all countertops
- paint faucets
So excited to elaborate more on a few of our favorite projects! Stay tuned!
xoxo Mandy
