Spanish moss glowing in the sunset

Two posts in one day?! WHAT? Like I said, we are trying really hard to catch up with you guys. But heyyyy, we hit the road! We are currently in Austin, TX so we have a bit to update you on.

I must apologize in advance, this video is 20 mins long. Definitely our longest video yet. But we did so much, and hope you still love it. 🙂 In this video we make the 14.5 hour drive from my parents house in Ohio to our first destination which so happens to be outside of Destin, FL. lol So we arrived to our “DESTIN”ation, get it?! hahaha Ok, it is true I have had a couple of kevs strong ass margaritas, so take this blog post with a grain of salt (perhaps a rim of salt)…. OMG I did it again.

We were SO happy when we arrived. However, a few things went wrong. Luna was super itchy, so we switched her over to a rice and chicken diet thinking it was her food. Foxey got diarrhea really bad, which was the first time she ever had it. Then started having blood in her stools. We were freaking out but when we brought her to the vet we discovered that it was from pepto bismal, it makes humans and dogs stools black (it wasn’t blood). She got a shot, a antibiotic and was 100% better. Thank goodness. We were so stressed out, not only did I have a lot of work to catch up on but our pups were sick, our water wasn’t working because of the toilet situation, and we were still exhausted from our long trip. Before we left we managed to get out of the camper on one glorious day to the beach.

Presenting Episode #03!

Places we went to and loved

The Donut Hole – We had coffee and donuts before dinner, because that makes sense right?! The coffee was delish, the donuts were fab, and we got key lime pie to-go that Kev really enjoyed!

Boshamps – We got dinner here with Kermit and Trinity, and it was good seafood, although not Kevin’s favorite. Kev had oysters and some gumbo, and I had the special minus the fish! It was spaghetti squash, brussel sprouts, and a mushroom risotto, all things that I love, and the chef made them taste absolutely devine. Prices were a bit on the higher end, but we really enjoyed this meal. Also, the dog in the logo? A winning choice in our opinion. 😉

Live Oak Landing – We stayed here for the week and honestly, it was one of the nicest RV parks we’ve ever stayed at. It had all the comforts of an RV park, but felt like a state park when you walked around it. The best of both worlds!

Before I go, I wanted to share some pics I took here. A guy with his two dogs in the bayou A fifth wheel camper parked at Live Oak Landing The bayou and natural light A fifth wheel in the swamps Leaves in shallow depth of field Banana leaves in the bayou Sunset through tropical leaves Sunset through the bayou Spanish moss and trees in the sun Bayou in Florida Chalkboard sign in a camper 2016-12-04_0019 2016-12-04_0018 Golden doodle and kitten cuddling Kitty cuddling in a camper next to feet Colorful RV interior German shorthaired pointer in a camper Kittens cuddling in a camper German shorthaired pointer German shorthaired pointer with a hurt paw

Super excited to follow your trip. I plan on taking my bus on the road Labor Day weekend 2017 for 12 months. I own an internet based business (in addition to being a traveling midwife) and can work from the road. I’ll be starting in So. Florida and plan on hitting 49 states and the D.C.

That will be an incredible trip! Have fun with it, Sandi! You’ll love southern Florida. I’m wishing I was there right now 🙂

This is where I went to high school, and college, and met my husband. Love Destin! I consider it my hometown, really.
